High Lights – Abandoned Materials and Light
On December 13, Michaelson Art Gallery in Florentin will open the solo exhibition "High Lights – Abandoned Materials and Light" by artist Shila Oringer. This new body of work explores the dialogue between discarded materials and light, which breathes new life into them. Through a combination of contemporary and traditional assemblage techniques, Oringer offers a unique perspective on renewal, transformation, and the interplay between material and light in creating new meaning.
The works in the exhibition are characterized by a strong and uncompromising aesthetic, revealing a poignant and optimistic contrast between the worn and familiar and the radiant and new. Oringer invites viewers to experience the tension between decay and renewal and to reflect on the inner light present in everything around us, especially in these challenging times. This exhibition continues Michaelson Art Gallery’s commitment to showcasing contemporary Israeli art with visual and emotional depth.
